Abstract

The wild bird species, cause serious damage to many field crops under field condition during both sowing and maturing stages. Wild birds cause significant damage to Leguminase crops (broad bean & lentil) during mature stage. The peak of bird damage to broad bean occurred at the first week after pods emergences the most losses were 18.65 and 17.51% in both old lands and newly reclaimed areas. But in lentil, birds started attacking during the third week after pods emergences with increasing effect till harvest, the peak of damage percent with value 28.36% at sixth week.
Birds began attacking the cereals crops (wheat, barely and rice) during the mature stage start through the second week after anthesis.
