BIOCHEMICAL CHANGES IN THE HAEMOL YMPH OF LAYING WORKERS IN HONEYBEE COLONIES.
Dept. of Economic Entomology and Pesticides, Fac. of Agric. Cairo Univ.
Abstract
The haemolymph of normal workers (without ovaries development), workers with ovaries development and recovered workers from development ovaries, were subjected to the following determination; Total protein, GOT, GPT enzymes, SOS Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis,
The results obtainec stated that, the total protein, GOT, GPT enzymes, SOS Polyacrylamic!e Gel Electrophoresis, were clearly higher in laying workers and followed by recovered bees from ovaries development.
