Abstract

The different biological aspects or the bird cherry-oat aphid, RhopaloSiphum
p < /em>adi (Linnaeus). the rose grain aphid, Melopo/ophium dirllodum (Walker) and the
Russian wheat aphid, Diureonis noxie (Mordvilko) were studied at 25°C and 58 - 75
% RH, using barley seedlings for reeding and maintaining aphids.
The obtained results revealed that M. dirhodum had the longest life cycle
duration (7.7 ± 1.1 d) followed by D. noxie (6.6 ± 1.7 d) and R. pad; (5.59 1. 1.0 d). The
longest generation time (B.B ± 1.5 d) was recorded for O. noxia followed by M.
dirhodum (B.3 ± 0.9 d) and R. pad; (6.35 ± 1.06 d). The fecundity rates for both M.
dirhodum and R. pad; were 24.66 and 24.12 progenylfemale, respectively. The lowest
rate of fecundity (5.43 progeny/1emale) was recorded for D. noxia at 25°C.
M. dirhodum had the longest (19.1 ± 2.8 d) lite span duration followed by R.
padi (15.65 :t 2.47 d) and D. ooxi« (15.412.1 d).
