Abstract

Field experiments were conducted at two successive growing seasons (2000
& 2001) at Sakha Agricultural Research Station 10 evaluate the efficiency of some
conventional insectiCides 00 Ihe larvae of bollworms. oata showed that In general,
pyrethroides were the most efficIent compounds during the two seasons. The effect of
all tested compounds seems to be cumulative from one spray to the ether. II can
concluded thai most of the obtained percent of reduction reflected a moderate effect
and so. repeated application or any losecticidl!s during the same season must
avoided.
