Abstract
During this investigation the efficiency of six tested compounds against males and females ofB. zonata and C. capitata was evaluated. The results indicated that Alphaeuro 10%EC was the most effective with the highest mortality percentages against males and females of the two fruit flies followed by Toldivo 10%EC, Spigrew48 %SC, Space I 12.5%SC, Spamopan 48%SC and Rotsal 12.5%SC. Mortality percentages increased with the increase of concentrations. Field strains of males and females B. zonata and C. capitata exhibited different resistance level in all four governorates. Giza field strain had the highest resistance value to Space I with 56.87 and 59.9% for males and females of B. zonata as well as C. capitata males and females with resistance value 45.96 and 53.14, respectively. Qalyubia field colony had the highest resistance values against Rotsal by 45.56 and 48.69% for males and females of B. zonata as Sharkia C. capitata females field strain. Whereas, males in Giza showed the highest resistance value. Sharkia female and Qalyubia male field strains were resistant to Toldivo by 42.53 and 36.37%.The resistance level against Toldivo was observed with B. zonata females in Giza. Sharkia males and Qalyubia females field colony was more resistant to Alphaeuro. Behira C. capitata males field colony recorded resistance value of 35.06%. Giza males and females of B. zonata field strain showed resistance to Spigrew of 33.44 and 41.22%. C. capitata males and females field colony in Sharkia showed the highest resistance levels to Spamopan.
